100 Years of Peace (being a historian)

As historians today, we have been very busy celebrating 100 years of peace! First we investigated an old census from 100 years ago to explore how families have changed over time, we noticed that some families lived on the same road that some of us live on now! Then we worked to be geographers as well as historians to compare a recent map of our local area with the same map but 100 years old. We noticed how some things like our school had stayed the same, but other things had changed. We met a soldier who was able to answer lots of our questions and we explored our school shield which had the names on of the pupils from 100 years ago who had fought in World War 1! Finally we finished the day with a mini peace party to celebrate peace, just like they would of done 100 years ago..What a busy day!
