Today Jupiter Class were Artists! They carefully explored a range of cut up vegetables and painted the vegetables from a range of angles. We looked at different shades of a colour as well as exploring light and dark within the still vegetable.
As scientists we explored all the parts of a plant. We were then artists and drew and labelled the plant.
As Geographers, Jupiter Class have had a very busy afternoon! First they worked in teams to label all the continents and oceans on a map of the world. Then, using ipads and an atlas to support, they researched and recorded what plants grow in each continent!
As scientists, we learned how to carefully re-pot a plant. After that we all planted our own seeds and will use our knowledge of how to look after plants to nurture the plants at home.
We met a local gardener who was able to explain the plants that grow in Bristol and why they grow in Bristol.
