Hello, my name is Rae Fillingham and I am one of the Deputy Heads and a Year 1 teacher here at St. Anne’s Infants’ School. I started working at St. Anne’s as a one day a week supply teacher in September 2006 and since becoming full time in 2010, I am now part of the furniture, teaching between Year 1 and Year 2.
I graduated from Kingston University in Surrey many, many moons ago and taught for a couple of years until I decided to take a detour in my career path and ventured into the world of recruitment. A few years later, I had the ‘calling’ again which led me back down the yellow brick road to teaching. I completed a return to teaching course and here I am today! It has been a fabulous place to work for all of these years – the children are fabulous, the parents are supportive and my colleagues are the icing on the cake!
I have two daughters, Daisy and Phoebe who are both at secondary school and a husband (Ash) who works for an architectural company in Clifton. I enjoy pottering in the garden (which is something I never thought I’d hear myself say!) and holidays in the Mediterranean sun.
Hello, my name is Miss Lawrence and I teach Venus class in the afternoons. I have worked at St Anne's Infants' School since September 2017, having previously taught for 5 years in other primary schools in Bristol. A little bit about me: in my spare time I enjoy running, having completed a few long distance running races in and around Bristol, cooking for friends and family and travelling abroad to new countries and cities whenever I can. I am a bit of a book-worm, and take every opportunity I can to bury my head in a book, usually with a cup of tea and my cat curled up on my lap.

Hi, I'm Mrs Murray and I've been a Teaching Assistant at St Anne's since 2012, working in Year 1 and 2 as well as Reception. I originally qualified as a secondary school teacher but found I really enjoy working with younger children, particularly watching their language skills grow as they learn to read and write and discuss their ideas. I also really like reading, children's books and adult ones! Outside of school, I have a husband and two sons who enjoy football, rugby, and karate, we love exploring beaches and are looking forward to heading back to Wales in our tent.
Hello, my name is Laura Tye and I’ve taught at St Anne’s Infants’ since 2003. During this time I’ve been very lucky to have the opportunity to teach Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. I grew up in a town in Wales but after graduating from UWE I decided to make Bristol my home. Following the arrival of my twins in 2011 I now work from Monday to Wednesday, teaching in Mercury class. I also have a 3 year old daughter. I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and one of my favourite places to visit is Westonbirt Arboretum.

Hello, I am Miss Griffin and I have been a teacher since 2005. I have had the privilege of working with children through from Nursery through to Year 6. Most of my time at St Anne's Infants' has been as a Nursery teacher and I am now lucky enough to be part of the Year 1 team.
Outside of school, my young son keeps me very busy. We spend a lot of time outdoors playing, scooting, walking and camping. He is a source of constant inspiration and gives me lots of creative ideas to bring into the classroom. I also love to keep fit and healthy through yoga, running and exercise classes!
Hello, I’m Christina Burfitt, I’ve been a Teaching Assistant at St Anne’s for five years working within Year 1 and 2. I’m originally from Ireland but, when I met my husband I decided to make Bristol my home. I absolutely love it here and can’t imagine living anywhere else! When not at school, I’m kept busy being mum to my two children – Jake and Amelia. In my spare time I can be found jogging along Bath Road, curled up with a good thriller or practising my newest hobby - Irish Dancing!
I have worked at St Anne's Infants' School since September 2017 having previously taught for three years at another Bristol primary school. A little bit about me...In my spare time I enjoy travelling the world and visiting different countries and cities. I love the sun so I am always in search of some sunshine! Holidays are the perfect time for me to delve into a good book. I enjoy socalising and spending time with my family and friends exploring new places. I have recently taken up running and I am training to run 5K. This is definitely challenging me but I am taking a leaf out of the children's books and striving to succeed by being a real self- believer! My goal by the end of the year is to be able to run 10K. Wish me luck!!

Hello, I’m Miss Bailey. I previously worked at St Anne's Infants as part of the lunchtime team and volunteered as a reading mentor and librarian. I spent the last year working at a different primary school to earn my level 3 teaching assistant diploma and am very excited to have returned to St Anne's Infants to work as an LSA in Neptune class as well returning to the lunchtime team. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my partner, our 2 children and our assortment of pets. I also enjoy polymer clay crafting, cooking, all things involving animals and, when I get a bit of quiet time, I love nothing more than curling up with my Pug and a good book 😊
Hello, my name is Mrs Beaumont and I teach in Pluto Class. I have worked at St Anne’s Infants’ School since June 2012. Throughout my time here, I have enjoyed teaching both Year 2 and Reception and my favourite subject to teach is Maths. When I am at home, I enjoy going for long walks, followed by a scrumptious cream tea! I have had a very exciting year so far as I recently got married. See you soon!
Hello there, I'm Anna Herbert and I've worked as an LSA at St Anne's for 5 years, mainly with the Year 1 and 2 children. I also supported a child with cerebral palsy for her 3 years at our school which I found very rewarding. Previous to my time at St Anne's I spent more then a year at Millpond Primary in Easton working with the junior children. I have two daughters who keep me pretty busy as well as various pets and I also love to be active and being outside. I can often be spotted out rowing on the stretch of river that runs along St Anne's and past Beese's. Keep an eye out for me next time you're having a walk on the towpath!
Hi, I'm Nicky Weech, and I am in school Monday, Tuesdays and alternate Wednesdays. I have worked at St Anne's Infants' School since I qualified as a teacher, rather a long time ago and have relished teaching across all year groups within the school in my time! I am the Curriculum Leader, and a part of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to the direction the school takes in the best interests of our wonderful St. Anne's Infants' School children. I love to go camping with my husband and two lovely daughters, Poppy and Flora- who keep me on my toes! Speaking of being on my toes, I am a keen runner, and make sure I run 7km three times a week. It certainly helps me to keep up my fitness... which is essential in the classroom! It's also good practise for when we run the Daily Mile at school!
Hello I'm Kate Watts and I am in school Wednesday to Friday. I have worked at St Anne's Infants' since 2008 in Year 1, Nursery, Year 2 and back to Year 1 again. Before working at St Anne's I taught in a tiny school in Cornwall for 2 years and before that at Frampton Cotterell Primary for 4 years, always in the infants or early years. In my spare time I enjoy camping with my husband and three year old little girl, gardening and listening to live music when I can! My goal for the summer is to get back into running which I used to enjoy before I became a mum!

Hello, I am Mrs Badock, Jupiter Class teacher. I qualified as a teacher is 2012 and have been teaching at St Anne's ever since. During my time at St Anne's I have enjoyed teaching Reception as well as Year 2. My favourite subject to teach is PE and I love running as well as a range of fitness activities in my free time. I lead PE at St Anne's and thoroughly enjoy inspiring the children as well as watching their fitness levels go from strength to strength. My favourite day of the year is Sports Day, fingers crossed it will be a lovely sunny day this year!
I have also implemented the Daily Mile at St Anne’s which has been very successful. The children are becoming much fitter, therefore concentration and attainment is increasing in the classroom! In recent years I have completed numerous 10k runs and have done a skydive for the charity CLIC. I love to travel and enjoy nothing more than relaxing on the beach and swimming in the sea. I have been to Hawaii, Bermuda, Australia and lots of states across America.
Interesting fact: I attended St Anne's School as a child!
Thank you for taking the time to read about me 💜
Hi, I’m Mrs Johnson and I’ve been working at St. Annes’ as an LSA for four years. In my previous life I worked in the food industry developing ready meals for supermarkets. I still enjoy experimenting with food and trying out new recipes on family and friends. I am an avid reader and I love to talk to the children (and anyone who will listen) about books. I’m often off to places, old and new, with my husband, 2 children and dog in our caravan where we enjoy walking, cycling, skiing, canoeing and competitive Sudoku!
