Hello and welcome to Term 3!
This term we will be starting a new enquiry called ‘What is home?’. As part of this we will exploring the difference between a house and a home and we will be visiting Arnos Vale to explore the homes of a variety of animals.
As geographers we will be developing our skills by orienteering and map reading to explore different homes in our local area. As geographers we will then explore a greater wealth of animals and human’s homes by investigating different regions of the world.
Finally, we will use our geographical language as author writers to write a fact file on a chosen animal from a different region.
As author writers, we will be exploring fiction writing as well as explanation texts to develop our writing skills. The fiction text we will be learning is called ‘A New Home For a Pirate’ by Rhonda Armitage.

As mathematicians, we are learning to divide as well as begin a statistics unit.
We will be learning how to:
· Make equal groups (sharing)
· Make equal groups (grouping)
· Divide by 2
· Divide by 5
· Divide by 10
· Odd and even numbers.
