As part of our learning on 'Jack and the Beanstalk', we enjoyed planting broad beans. Over the holiday, we hope our beans will grow into tall beanstalks! It would be great if the children could bring in a photograph of their beanstalk to share with the class.
We have been enjoying learning archery and tennis in our PE lessons!
To launch our new enquiry 'What might I do in the future?' we enjoyed playing different games where we got to explore differences. We thought about how we all like different things; how we have different interests and personalities
Our new Talk For Writing story is 'The Magic Porridge Pot'. Today we enjoyed tasting the delicious, sweet porridge that the pot cooked for us. We had to remember the magic words "Stop, little pot, stop!"otherwise the pot would have overflowed with porridge!
To launch our new enquiry, 'Where is my city?', the children used the Ipads to explore Google Maps. As Geographers, we identified that we live in England which is part of the UK. We then explored how we live in the city of Bristol. On Google Maps, we enjoyed locating Bristol and places within our locality such as St Anne's park and the church.
To celebrate the end of our enquiry 'How do we move?', we enjoyed sharing the pop up scenes that we had made as engineers with children from the Nursery. They were impressed by the hinges, sliders, springs and pivots that we had made!
