Jupiter Class started their new enquiry today. We made a class mind map and then individual mind maps to represent what 'home' means to us. We also compared the difference between a house and a home.
After exploring what humans need in their habitats to survive, we went to the woods to investigate other habitats and what they need in their habitat. We found mole holes, birds nests, rabbit holes, bat hollows, fox shelters and mini beasts homes under logs and rocks. We discovered that all the habitats had shelter and food except the birds nest!
As geographers, we improved our skills to learn how to use a compass. We were then able to follow specific compass directions to answer a variety of questions and record our findings!
Jupiter class have been working as scientists and geographers to reasearch different regions. They have been able to research the habitat in a specific region, what animals live there, what plants grow there and which countries have the specific habitat. We have explored, polar, marine, desert and rainforest!
