Food is a basic need and whilst families are required to stay at home, food consumption is increasing and there is mounting pressure on finances. At St Anne's Infants' we are committed to ensuring our families have sufficient food. As such, we are working with local food banks, food clubs and other services to support those in need of help.
If you are struggling to feed your family, please contact the pastoral team on help@stannesinfants.co.uk
All children at St Anne’s Infants’ ordinarily receive a free school meal as part of the Universal Free School Meal programme which entitles all children in Reception – Year 2 to have one. Aside from that, some children are entitled to a benefits-related free school meal; this means that when they go into Year 3 or if the universal scheme were to end, they would still receive a free school meal.
If a child is entitled to benefits-related free school meal, the school are providing food vouchers through the government scheme run by Edenred throughout the school closure period.
Many people’s income and financial position may be changing as a result of the pandemic. Further information as to who is eligible can be found here
