Welcome to Term 6! We have arrived at the final term of the school year, and it is as busy as ever with wonderful learning, trips, performances, and celebrations. Throughout the weeks ahead, Year 2 will step into the roles of scientists, engineers, geographers, historians, and artists as we explore the frozen polar regions and learn about brave polar explorers.
In our writing lessons, the children will bring all of this new knowledge together, applying their grammar skills to create adventurous pieces of both fiction and non-fiction writing. In maths, the children will be busy exploring position and direction, alongside mastering practical measurement skills in length, height, mass, capacity, and temperature.
We are thrilled to welcome a visiting engineer who will share specialist knowledge with the children, and we will practise our culinary skills by baking pizzas together at the end of the term. In Week 3, Year 2 will turn into athletes to celebrate Sports Day, and we warmly invite families to join us for our special Leavers' Performance on Thursday 16th July at 2:00 PM.
Thank you for your continued support as we head into this final, exciting chapter of the school year!
