DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL IF ANYONE IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD HAS A NEW, CONTINUOUS COUGH, A HIGH TEMPERATURE OR A LOSS OR CHANGE IN THE SENSE OF SMELL OR TASTE. STAY AT HOME, BOOK A TEST AND CALL THE OFFICE TO REPORT YOUR CHILD'S ABSENCE.
Kelly from the charity Living Streets gave an assembly to the children about the WOW Walk to School challenge that we will be starting. Look out for more details and let's see how many children can earn a badge by walking to school or parking and striding at least once a week.
Kelly and Strider for the WOW Living Streets Project came to do a special assembly today! They announced 3 runners up and 1 winner for the photography competition back in January. The runners up won a certificate and goodie bag and the winner won a luminous goodie bag and has had her photo turned into a canvas print for the school!
Happy Shoes Day 2019
Kelly from Living Streets gave an assembly to Year 1 and 2 today. She promoted 'Happy Shoes Day' which will be on the 21st. Your child is encouraged to wear shoes that make them feel happy, such as colourful shoes or comfy shoes. Kelly also introduced a competition. The competition is to create a poster to encourage people too pick up dog mess so that we don't have any on our pavements on our walk to school. The posters will need to be handed to me by the end of next week and the winning poster will be made into a banner to go outside the school gates!
We've raised an amazing £133 for the charity Living Streets by wearing 'happy shoes' to school!
Well done to all the ‘poo poster’ entries! We were very overwhelmed with the amount of entries and Mrs Sutherland had a very hard job choosing a winner. Mrs Sutherland had to ask the Reception children to help her chose the winner out of the shortlisted posters. The 2 posters with the most votes were from Greta in Year 1 and Lois in Year 2. However the overall winner with the most votes was....... Lois’s poster!! Well done Lois💥⭐️ The poster will be sent off to be turned into a banner for the school gates!
