The school is the admissions authority for our Nursery. We follow the same admissions criteria as the Local Authority when offering the 52 places and abide by the criteria in the case of over subscription that of:

1. Children in Care or children who were previously in Care but immediately after being in Care became subject to an adoption, residence, or special guardianship order
2. Children who currently attend the Nursery and are still of an eligible age in September
3. Siblings at the infants' or junior school
4. Children of staff members
5. Children living closest to the school as measured in a direct line from the home address to the school address

Children are admitted into the Nursery class after their third birthday with the majority starting in the September of that year. Any remaining spaces are filled using the criteria above and for those who are three after 31 August if it is felt that they would benefit from the provision offered. There are 52 places made up of  a combination of 15 hours free entitlement per week:

• at the beginning of the week – Monday and Tuesday 9:00 – 3:15 and Wednesday morning 9:00 – 11:30, or
• at the end of the week – Wednesday afternoon 12:30 – 3:15 and Thursday and Friday 9:00 – 3:15, or

30 hours extended entitlement if eligible:

• Monday - Friday 9:00 - 3:15

Admission to the Nursery class does not give priority to admission to Reception.
