A typical day in Reception will follow this routine:

- Registration and early morning work

- Phonics

- Child-initiated learning where children may explore indoor and outdoor areas of the class.

- Literacy

- Outside play (Reception children only)

- Shared reading

- Lunch and outside play

- Maths

- Child initiated learning

- Movement time (dancing, squiggle while you wiggle, or Write Dance)

- Story and getting ready for home
