    Quotes from parents/carers

We were pointed categorically towards St Anne’s by parents in our nursery group who sang its praises when we considering schools. We have been delighted that the school has delivered on the promise of community and compassion we were told about. Our child feels rooted and secure in her community and has loved so much about her experience be it forest school in reception, her extra curricular classes like piano, investigations every term, singing - the list goes on. And that couldn’t be delivered without all the hard work from all the staff during school hours and after hours. Thanks for being such a great staff.

I will never had enough words to say how  amazing the St. Anne's staff is. I got a lot of support from them when I really needed it, not just with my current child but also with my other child who finished his journey with this school nearly 4 years ago. He still remembers his years in St Anne's and how he enjoyed his time in this school.

School is my child's happy safe place. I wish he could stay in this school forever.

From the moment my child started at St Anne’s I knew it was the right school for her. I couldn’t have asked for a better school; everyone is so kind, caring and generally brilliant. She’s come on such a long way since she started and it’s all thanks to you.

All the staff at St Anne's are ALWAYS so smiley, and friendly and polite. I never see them look grumpy or fed up (even though they must be some days, aren't we all!) and they have an unwavering energy and enthusiasm with the children. The children always seem so happy and relaxed at school too, and this is due to the warm and safe environment the school has created. We are so grateful that St Anne's is such a nurturing environment and positive environment and that the school STARS run through everything that you do.

I have had some discussions with various teachers about some issues and these have been dealt with so positively and for that I thank you...as a busy mum it made me feel confident that the school was listening to my concerns. I think you all do an amazing job and I think the motto of Reach for the Stars is perfect to reflect how you set up young minds for the future!

My child comes home beaming and proud of what she has learned every day.

It’s clear from the music and friendly welcome in the mornings to the supportive and caring words from teachers to the growth mindset and values that wellbeing is key to the school and flows through all you do. All the teachers and support staff have been so brilliant since our child started school. He can be incredibly shy and nervous, but the support and encouragement he has received has really helped him to thrive and his confidence is increasing all the time with the help of his lovely teachers believing in him. I don’t know how teachers find the time to get to know each individual child and find unique ways to nurture, support and encourage them, it’s really a gift!

I am so grateful for how you show up, work together, really taking the time to understand our children, help them when they get stuck, support them when they feel sad and celebrate with them in their success every day despite the challenges you face to do so. You remain calm, supportive and understanding when we face challenges. I have seen every one of my kids bloom and develop because of the nurturing care you all provide, and I am grateful to the whole team that you continue to do this for all of us. Our children are our world. Thank you for giving them such a good start in life.

Results from our January 2026 parent survey: Experiences and belonging in our school community
    • 93% feel very welcome in the school community
    • 96.5% feel their background and culture are respected and valued by the school

Some of the things that you like about the school community and / or help you feel included:

    • Child-first approach
    • Concerns are addressed quickly, professionally and with compassion
    • The curriculum is taught in a genuinely inclusive way
    • Good communication
    • Approachable, friendly staff
    • School events and opportunities to volunteer

What could the school do to help you feel more included:

    • More information on what the children are doing

Don’t forget that each year group has a page on the school website (Children – Year group pages). Teachers update these termly with an overview of what the children will be learning and photos of the previous term’s learning.

    • I miss shared reading

The stay and read sessions with parents were indeed a great opportunity for parents to come in and spend some time with their children in school. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing building work, we are really limited on space and it isn’t logistically possible for us to do stay and read at the moment - hopefully, it will return in the future!
