Reading

Once the children have settled in to their Reception classes, we will be sending home a reading book each week to practise reading at home. Parents are asked to read these books with their children a minimum of three times a week and to practise reading and writing the key words which will be sent home to support the children with fluency in reading and writing. If you would like any support or advice on reading with your child at home or how to support them with phonics, please get in touch with your child's teacher.

PE

On the day your child has PE, they should wear their PE kit to school and will remain in it all day.

Reception children have PE on the following days:

Earth class: Wednesday

Mars class: Wednesday 

Forest School

The children each attend 5 sessions of forest school throughout the year. More details will be shared soon.

Tapestry

Tapestry is the online learning journal through which we record the children's independent learning and share it with parents. You can also use this platform to share learning and trips from home. The children love to share what they have been doing at home with their friends at school.
