Festive Fun at St Anne's

As the festive season of Christmas and New Year approaches, click 'read more' to find a summary of the events taking place before the end of term.

Friends' Winter Gift Shop

Run by the Friends of St Anne’s, the Winter Gift Shop is an opportunity for the children to choose gifts for the grown-ups in their lives; the gifts will not be suitable for siblings. The shop will be open on Wednesday 3 December, during school hours, with the children bringing home their chosen gifts already wrapped, at the end of the day. Each gift will cost £3.00 and will be live on MCAS on Friday 14th November. Any gifts will need to be bought by 1st December.

 Friends' Winter Disco

We are very excited about the Friends of St Anne's first ever Winter Disco from 4.15pm on Friday 12 December (exact session times to be confirmed). This event, being held in St Anne's church hall, will be a fantastic opportunity for the children to get into the party spirit! Parents will be able to buy tickets on MCAS from 21st November, priced at £2.50 per child.

Winter performances

We know that you will be looking forward to watching the children’s winter performances. Seats can be booked on MCAS from Friday 14th November and are limited to two per child. Whilst there is no cost for tickets, there is the option to make a voluntary donation of £1 per ticket to support the school. Please note that pushchairs are not permitted in the hall in order to keep fire exits clear.

Reception: Wednesday 17 December 9.30am or 2.15pm

Year 1: Friday 12 December 9.30am or 2.15pm

Year 2: Tuesday 16 December 9.30am or 2.15pm

Teachers will be in contact with you should your child require a costume or particular clothing for their performance.

Christmas lunch

Christmas lunch will be served on Wednesday 17 December; the menu and booking are available on MCAS - please book by 1st December to be assured of a Christmas Dinner. Children are invited to wear Christmas / winter jumpers on this day.

Christmas parties

Christmas parties will be held in the last week of term with Sun A and C having theirs on the afternoon of Monday 15 December and the rest of the school having theirs on the afternoon of Friday 19 December. Children can come to school in their party clothes, but please do not send them in fancy dress or superhero outfits. Teachers will share lists for donations of party food nearer the time, and we may be lucky enough to have a special visitor stop by!
