After school enrichment clubs

We're pleased to say that all clubs will continue next term:

• Tuesdays: Lingohoop Languages Club (Y1&2)
• Wednesdays: Mad Science (Y1&2)
• Thursdays: Colourful Minds Art Club (Y1 &2)- awaiting sign up instructions  // Usports (Reception only)

School Nurse drop-ins

We're pleased to announce that these will be held in partnership with Wicklea Academy (BS4 4HR) in the future. Revised dates are all on the school calendar.

Christmas Cards

For those unaware, we have a post box for children to post their Christmas cards for their friends. Please ensure that full name and class are written on the envelope so the 'elves' can deliver them to the right place.

Winter performances

Most tickets have now been sold for winter performances. If you have still not got yours, these are available in the MCAS shop. Please note, the maximum permitted per child is 2 tickets across both performances. If you have more than 2 tickets, we will contact you to ask which performance you will be attending and releasing the unwanted ones to parents that haven't got theirs yet.

School Disco - 12th December - Tickets are selling fast!

Don't forget to buy your disco tickets via MCAS as soon as possible.

Lip balm

A reminder that lip balm is only to be sent in if your child has genuinely sore lips and this should be for their own personal use only.

Playground safety

A reminder of some key safety rules on the playground at drop off and pick up:

• Please use and respect the one-way system.
• Scooters and bikes to be walked, not ridden on school grounds.
• Parents to ensure that children do not run out of the gates at pick-up.

Year Group Messages

Year 1

• This week in our learning we are going to explore part-whole models in maths where we will be splitting wholes into 2 parts. In English we are going to be continuing exploring the story Tiger, It's Snowing and creating a new character and setting for our story. We are going to be going back to our Enquiry 'How does my school change?' where we will be looking at how the season has changed from Autumn to Winter.
• Miss Pope is out of class Monday afternoon, and both Miss Watkins and Miss Pope are out of class on Thursday afternoon. 
• Reminder about costumes for Friday 12th December, Neptune class to wear Orange and black for Tigers (please don't feel the need to buy a Tiger costume), Venus Class to wear Christmas/Winter jumper with a hat, gloves and scarf. As there are two performances children should come into school with their costumes on. 
• Do any parents have a drone we could use in the first week back after Christmas? If so, contact Miss Pope at Neptune@stannesinfants.co.uk.

Regular reminders

Outstanding payments to be paid to school

Please ensure that you are keeping up to date with payments due to the school. To find out which payments you need to make, you can use either the desktop version of MCAS (example on the left) or the MCAS app (image of the widget on the right).

                                                                       

If not settled, then parents will receive a personalised email detailing any monies owed by the end of each term. If you have an outstanding payment to make and require help with this, please email school@stannesinfants.co.uk .

School dinner pre-ordering

Please order all lunches for the following week by the end of Thursday (every week) on MCAS.

If you do not pre-order lunches for your children, then we cannot guarantee that they will be able to have the school meal of their choice.
