End of term 1: A reminder that the last day of term 1 for children is Friday 24th October. We are aware that Wicklea Academy have inset days on Thursday and Friday but, sadly, it is not always possible to match dates, so we do expect all St Anne’s children to be in school as normal on both days regardless of what older siblings are doing.

Message from Mrs Owen: Exciting news! From January I will be running the Nurturing Programme on a Thursday morning at St. Anne's Children's Centre. This is a free 10-week group for parents and carers of children aged 2 to 8 years old. It will help you to understand aspects of your child's behaviour such as:

    • why children behave in certain ways
    • understanding feelings that can cause certain behaviours
    • exploring discipline
    • building self-discipline in children
    • looking after ourselves

8 out of 10 parents attending report significant improvements in their children's behaviour and family life. After taking part in this programme, you will have the skills to:

    • improve your children's behaviour and family life
    • reduce hyperactivity in children
    • improve mental health outcomes for both children and parents
    • build confidence around making parenting decisions

You can fill in an expression of interest form here or speak to me if you would like more information.

Reminder: Parent survey - at St Anne's Infants' School, we believe that our school community is strongest when we work together. We know that our families have a wide range of talents, interests, and experiences—and we’d love to learn more about you!

This short survey is designed to help us understand your jobs, hobbies, skills, and interests, as well as your availability for volunteering. Whether you have a hidden talent, a professional skill, or just a bit of time to spare, we’d love to hear from you. Your input will help us create more meaningful opportunities for parent involvement and enrich the learning experiences of our children.

Thank you for taking a few minutes to share with us. We truly value your support!

This survey will close at 4pm on 23 October 2025.
