    School Christmas Card Project

The deadline for ordering through the school is Wednesday 12th November, if you order from the school we can receive some funds for enrichment activities.

Anti-Bullying Week and Odd Socks Day

Next week, the children at St Anne's will be engaging in Anti-Bullying Week activities. The Anti-Bullying Alliance theme for this year is 'The Power for Good' which invites adults and young people alike to come together to have discussions about how we can use the power we have for good, to bring bullying to an end.  At St Anne's, we will reflect upon how we can use our voice as a 'power for good' if we witness bullying and want to safely help.

We warmly invite all pupils to wear odd socks to school on Monday 10th November to show their support for Anti-Bullying Week.

Please find a link to the school's anti-bullying policy including a child friendly leaflet which helps to distinguish between unkind and bullying behaviour below.

    School Nurse Drop-in

    Monday 17th November - St Anne's Church Hall 9am to 10:45am

    Individual school photos

These take place this Wednesday 12/11/2025. Please can parents ensure that children are in full school uniform.

Nursery children – no uniform but please dress your children in an outfit you would like your child’s photo to be in.

Appeal for families to donate spare/changes of clothes for school

If anyone has any clothes that they can donate - particularly in ages 4-5/5-6 - trousers, pants, socks in particular - can you please drop them to Mrs Owen or Miss Knapton in the school office as we are very low on these items.

    Coats

The weather has been very changeable in early autumn, therefore can we please remind all parents to send children in with a coat and expect all possible weather conditions during the day.

    Lunch pre-booking

As has been communicated on numerous occasions, lunch orders now need to be completed by end of the day on Thursday for the following week. There are still 30 families in the main school that haven’t done this for next week (and have missed the deadline). Children will never go without, but if you do not pre-order, we may not be able to provide a child’s first choice meal and parents run the risk of children not being given something they like.

    Parking

A gentle reminder that the bus bay on Bloomfield Road is not a parking space for pickup and dropoff, therefore please park further away from school and walk the remaining distance.

    SEND coffee morning

Come along to our SEND Coffee morning hosted in partnership with Bristol Parent Carer Forum where you can find out more information on what support is available locally for your child with special educational needs and disabilities. It doesn't matter whether or not your child has a diagnosis or is on the SEND register, we are here to support every family in Bristol and we are parents ourselves so we get it!

    Date: Wednesday 12 November
    Time: 9 - 10:30am
    Location: St Anne's Church Hall

    Children in Need

Friday 14 November is Children in Need. Children are invited to come to school wearing spotty / yellow / Pudsey clothing. We will have a bucket on the playground at drop off and pick up to collect donations towards this worthwhile charitable event.

    Head lice

There have been two reported cases of head lice in two different year groups this week. Can we ask that all parents are checking their children regularly and applying treatment where necessary.

    NHS Vaccination Survey

Please could parents complete the below survey (only takes a few minutes with a cuppa)!
