    Census Day

A big thank you to all parents that selected a hot school meal for their children on this day. Our meal numbers were higher than the previous census, which bodes well for future funding at St Anne's.

Reminder: Height and weight checks for Reception aged children

Please view the attached letter & leaflet regarding height and weight checks for reception children.

    • The 15th January deadline for reception 2026 places has now passed. We hope that all parents managed to submit an application. Any that didn't should contact the local authority as soon as possible.
    Reception
    • Thank you to all parents that attended Miss Robertson's Phonics Presentation this morning. We appreciate your support and interest in your child's learning.
    Year 1
    • In their learning next week, Year 1s are going to write their own version of The Three Little Pigs and have a writing celebration on Friday. In math's they are going to be looking at equal and unequal groups. For our enquiry we are going to be looking at the 4 countries in the United Kingdom, learning about the seas surrounding and the 7 continents of the world. It would be fantastic if your child could have a fact about one of the 4 countries of the UK or a continent to share to their peers.
    • Please can we make sure your child is reading at least 3 times a week and are bringing back their phonics book, shared reader book and their blue reading journal daily.
    • On the 27th of January 'Scales and Tails' will be visiting the school (Miss Pope has emailed details, including which animals are visiting). We are asking for a voluntary contribution of £4.25 per child to enable this amazing experience to go ahead. You can make payments using the 'store' on MCAS. You are able to purchase more than one contribution, should you wish to 'pay it forward' for another child.
    Year 2
    • A thank you to all parents that attended the Belmont Estate trip this week, enabling it to happen smoothly. We have one more visit before the end of the academic year, which I'm sure the children are all looking forward to.
