Year 2 Watercress Farm trip - Tuesday

We're delighted to inform parents that, thanks to a flurry of late contributions, we are able to run the trip as planned.

Emergency SMS messaging

We were able to test our SMS system earlier than planned - a message went out to all contacts on our system that have 'Parental Responsibility' . If you didn't get one, please can you speak to the school office and let them know so that we can check our systems are up to date.

STEM Week - Voluntary fancy dress - Tuesday 5th May

Reception and Year 1 are welcome to come in dressed as an engineer, scientist or mathematician to celebrate STEM week on Tuesday. 

Year 2 are out at Watercress farm, so need to wear clothes as advised in trip communications.

Reminder: Census Day and Special Menus

• Thursday 21st May is Census Day, which helps to determine the school's funding for the following year. To ensure the school receives the highest levels of funding we would like all children to have a school dinner on this day. We have prepared a special census day menu of Fish Fingers, Quorn Nuggets, Baguettes, Jacket Potatoes or Tomato Pasta (with salad bar and fresh fruit available for all children too). If your child is a fussier eater or unsure, parents are welcome to provide a 'back up' packed lunch if necessary.
• Wednesday 20th May we have a special menu to celebrate Culture Day - see menu attached.
• The new Cleverchefs Spring/Summer menu is attached to this page for information.

Nursery

St Anne’s Park Playground Trips – 19th and or 21st May at 1.15pm

Thank you very much for your offers of help. We are really pleased with the response to our request however, we need more helpers on both 19th and 21st May for the trips to proceed. Please let a member of the team know if you are available to help.

Hot lunches

Thank you very much for booking your child’s hot lunches/packed lunches in advance; this helps us to optimise teaching time. Please let us know if we can offer support with the use of the MCAS App.

Phonics

Next week, we will focus on letter 'k'. We'll listen for the sound letter 'k' makes by saying the alliterative phrase 'The kangaroo keeps kicking.'  When writing the letter, we'll use the cue ‘From head to toe, arm up, kick out.’

• Communications have gone out regarding the trip to Bristol Zoo Project on 16th June. Please can all parents ensure they order either home or school packed lunch on MCAS and make their financial contributions well ahead of time.

Year 2

Please ensure that you are keeping up to date with payments due to the school. School dinner pre-ordering

Please order all lunches for the following week by the end of Thursday (every week) on MCAS.

If you do not pre-order lunches for your children, then we cannot guarantee that they will be able to have the school meal of their choice.
