    THANK YOU!

A HUGE thank you to our volunteers for making our park trips possible. The rain held off and Sun Class had a great time ‘Being Athletes’! Why not take a look at our fun photos on Tapestry.

SAVE THE DATE – Wednesday 15th July at 3.30pm – St Anne’s Park Playground

Please join other Sun Class families in an end-of-year social at the playground.

    Phonics

Next week, we will focus on letter 'h'. We'll listen for the sound letter 'h' makes by saying the alliterative phrase 'The happy horse hops.'  When writing the letter, we'll use the cue ‘From head to toe and over his back.’

    Resource payments

All resources payments have now been added to MCAS for this academic year. Weekly reminders will be sent to all parents that have an outstanding balance of this £5 per term payment. All balances must be settled by the end of term.

Parents with outstanding balances or new payments have been contacted directly today.

    Reception
    • A reminder that Reception are visiting Court Farm this coming Monday 8th June. Please ensure that you have read the trip letter which can be viewed in the 'Announcements' section of MCAS and that you have made the voluntary contribution payment via the MCAS store for this trip.

    • REMINDER - The children in Reception will begin a new enquiry 'How have I changed?' As historians, they will begin to put together a timeline of their own life, and to assist in this, it will be helpful to have a few photos from home. Please could you email in to class emails (mars@stannesinfants.co.uk or earth@stannesinfants.co.uk) or upload to Tapestry 3 photos: one of your child as a baby, one as a toddler and one from before your child was born/joined your family - previously parents have sent in pregnancy photos/baby scans, photos of older siblings from before the child was born or pictures of houses that mum and dad lived in before they had children. These photos will really help the children to talk about their past life experiences and build an understanding of how they have grown and changed. Many thanks for your help in advance.

    Year 1
    • Just a reminder that the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check will take place next week. The children have worked incredibly hard throughout the year and have made fantastic progress with their phonics and reading. The check is a short, one-to-one assessment that gives children the opportunity to show off the phonics skills they have been developing. We are very proud of all their efforts and are looking forward to seeing them shine.

    • Our Year 1 Fashion Show will take place on Friday 12th at 9:00am.

    • The children are excited to showcase the marvelous hats they have designed and created all by themselves. We are incredibly proud of their creativity, hard work and fantastic designs, and can't wait for you to see them on the catwalk!
