  • Ofsted confirm St Anne’s Infants’ School as a good school

    Sun 15 Apr 2018 Scott Temple-Farmer

We are happy that the findings of the Ofsted inspection recognise the strengths and progress that the school has made since the last inspection in 2014.

Namely, improvements in our expectations of children no matter where they are in their developmental journey, the continual development of provision to meet the needs of all children and the accuracy of the new leadership’s self-evaluation and plan for school development.

Safeguarding was highlighted as a strength and we are delighted with the feedback from parents and the evident confidence you have in us that your children are cared for and safe at St Anne’s. It is pleasing to note that the next steps advised for the school had already been identified and incorporated into our long term development plan.

Lastly, we would like to highlight the part of the report that means the most to us and sums up the reason we do what we do:

St Anne’s ethos and values for all pupils to ‘reach for the stars and shine’ is firmly embedded and reflected in the day-to-day life of the school. It is a happy school where staff, governors and families work in harmony together. Parents who responded to the online inspection questionnaire are overwhelmingly delighted with all aspects of school life. As one parent explained ‘every single child is catered for…they are special from the moment they arrive. I couldn’t ask for more than what they do’.

  • A Tiger is Coming to Tea in Nursery!

Mon 09 Apr 2018 Nicky Weech

We've noticed a real love of animals (particularly jungle animals) among the Nursery children recently!  This seems like too good an opportunity to miss!  We are therefore planning on having a 'Tiger Who Came to Tea' fortnight over the next two weeks.

If you or your child has any cuddly animal toys you would be happy for the Nursery children to borrow for the next two weeks (starting Monday 16th April), they would be made to feel most welcome!  They may be given their own tea party or maybe even a check-up at the role play Vets!

We will also be having our very own tiger-themed Tea Party.  Nursery children can wear striped or animal-themed clothes on Wednesday 25th or Friday 27th April for this.  Watch this space for photos!
