    SPORTS RELIEF 2020

On Friday 13th March children are invited to wear warm sports clothes to school as part of Sports Relief. This can be their school PE kit or sports clothes of their own. To raise money for the charity, we are suggesting that you donate £1 to Sports Relief PAID VIA PARENT PAY or alternatively VIA CARD PAYMENT AT THE OFFICE. During the day, children will take part in short, fun activity bursts including dancing and a mini aerobics session.

We will be launching Sports Relief on Thursday 12th March with a class assembly and an ambitious WHOLE SCHOOL Mexican wave! Look out for pictures!

  • World Book Day 2020

    Thu 05 Mar 2020
What an incredible day! It has been jam-packed from beginning to end. The children surpassed themselves with their 'word' outfits for the vocabulary parade and even some of the teachers learnt a word from them. We had captivating storytelling sessions with Pridie from The Wild of Woods, KS1 children buddied up with EYFS children and read stories to them, parents came in to read stories and have lunch, there was hot chocolate and stories this afternoon, every child received the gift of a book and to top it all off, we launched Mrs Sowerbutt's brilliant idea of bedtime story bags!
  • Headteacher's lunch

    Thu 05 Mar 2020
A fabulous lunch today with these children who were dressed for World Book Day as 'adamant, 'dangerous', 'weather', 'sleepy' 'time' and 'sparkly'.  It was wonderful to hear them chatting about the storyteller they had just seen.
  • Window Wanderland

    Mon 02 Mar 2020
We were delighted to accept an invitation to work collaboratively with local artists Laura Humpage from Colourful Minds and Jo Bushell from Bricks to create a piece of window art for the Window Wanderland last weekend. Year 2 discussed what they like about living in St Anne's and how they would improve it. Some of our talented artists then worked with Jo and Laura to create collages to depict their ideas. We were honoured to be one of two local buildings to participate in the event.
