• Platinum Jubilee Celebrations

  The whole school has had a fantastic 2 days learning about and celebrating the Platinum Jubilee. The children have spent time researching all about The Queen and what she has done for the United Kingdom. This morning was spent busily making crowns, bunting, snacks and decorations for our Jubilee party outside. Some Year 2 children performed excellently in a Jubilee assembly and we finished off with some wonderful singing of the national anthem. The weather was fantastic and great fun was had by all!

  

• Term 5 Science Club

  This term's science club with Magnetic Maggie started last week with a bang as the children explored chemical reactions. The children had raisins in a cup of vinegar, they then added baking powder to this and were shocked to see what happened (as you can see by their faces)! 

   

  The children then had to use their observational skills and asked questions about the experiment. They noticed changes such as how the temperature of the liquid changed as a result of the chemical reaction that had taken place. 

   

  The experiment was called "dancing raisins".
