• Our new curriculum- Year 2 making a difference!

  What a way to end the term! Year 2 received two exciting pieces of post this week! Firstly, Marvin Rees- Mayor of Bristol- wrote back with praise for the children’s work on our ‘What could a classroom be made of?’ enquiry. Secondly, we were thanked for the children’s- and your- generosity by St. Peter’s Hospice for the donations we made during our ‘How can we help?’ enquiry. 

  We are so proud of the children and their hard work over these past two terms. They have found our new enquiry-led curriculum engaging and purposeful, and have gained such a lot from it! It’s great to see how they are also having an impact on the real world and their community.  What successful learners!

• Christmas service

  After the fun of the Christmas gift shop yesterday, today we visited St Anne’s Parish Church for our Christmas service. We heard a story about a spider  who spun a web to keep Mary and Joseph safe on their journey to Bethlehem. We were reminded to remember that sometimes the smallest gestures can mean the most to others.

  A wonderful evening at the Friends of St Anne’s Christmas Fair. Despite the cold, wet weather there was a fantastic turnout and lots of money raised for the school!
