• In Year 2, we have been exploring the enquiry: ‘How can I live a healthy lifestyle?’ . We had a visit from Chartwells, our hot school dinner company. As Scientists and Athletes, we explored the ‘eat well plate’ and talked about the importance of a healthy, balanced diet. We then worked as team players to choose healthy ingredients for a delicious smoothie! To turn the fruit into a smoothie, we had to ride the smoothie bike!

• Year One's 'hat-tastical' fashion show!

  What a fantastic 'hat-tastical' fashion show Year One put on this morning to show off the hats that they have made as part of their first enquiry 'What is my hat made of?' The children each designed and made a hat for a specific purpose and they thought carefully about their design and which materials they would need to use. Don't they all look fantastic?! Thank you to everybody who came to see the show!

  A great morning celebrating harvest. Well done to the staff and children and thanks to the families who joined us. Thank you also for the generous donations that are all bagged up and ready to go to East Central foodbank.
