Our author-writers enjoyed using their Team-playing and reader skills to help them with their under of ‘grouping related information’. This will be important in learning how to write in simple sections.
It was ‘Challenge’ time today as our budding artists used Stop/Start animation to film their ‘Acts of Kindness’ storyboards with their self-made characters. What amazing Team-Players and Self-Believers they have shown themselves to be 🙂

Saturn Class' act of kindness figures.
As part of our enquiry "How Can We Help", the children have been Artists. They have created figures out of wire and then covered them in modelling clay. We will use these to show acts of kindness and create a film!
Act of Kindness figures
The children are really enjoying our new enquiry, “How can we help?” Today we literally covered ourselves with kindness as the children wrote as many acts of kindness they could think of! What kind children we have at St. Anne’s Infants’ School. Hugs, smiles, giving flowers, helping people who have hurt themselves, looking for lonely faces and asking them if they’d like to play, even helping with the washing up and making breakfast in bed for family on a Sunday- just a few of the lovely suggestions!
Our mathematicians enjoyed testing each other on their knowledge of number bonds to 10. Their beginning to know these off by heart... and this is such a handy skill to unlock lots of other maths!
