Year One is a busy and exciting year where lots of fun learning happens!

Here is some important information to support your child's time in Year One.

Everyday reminders:

- Children are encouraged to bring in a named water bottle. Fruit is provided however children are allowed to bring their own fruit in with them if they so wish.

- Please ensure that children have their book bags with them everyday with their reading books and record inside. If your child needs a new reading book, having read their current book twice, they are encouraged to put their book and reading record in the basket at the front of their classroom ready to be changed.

- In the morning, children will enter school through their classroom door where they will be greeted by an adult. To develop independence, the children are responsible for hanging up their own coats and putting their items away. The coat trolleys are located in the hall.

- At the end of the day, children will exit their classroom through the same door that they entered through in the morning.

- Stay and read for term 2 will be on a Wednesday starting from the week beginning 4th November. This session finishes promptly at 9am so we can begin our day.
