Useful information about Year 1

Year One is a busy and exciting year where lots of fun learning happens!

 

Here is some important information to support your child's time in Year One.

 

Everyday reminders:

- Children must bring in a named water bottle.

- Children must bring in their reading folders everyday so we can listen to them read in class.

- Fruit is provided however children are allowed to bring in their own fruit if they so wish (this could be kept in their coat pocket).

- Please ensure your child has a coat with them everyday. The children will be learning in the outside area and we will be seeking to learn outside as much as possible, whatever the weather!

 

PE days:

Venus and Neptune Class have PE on a Monday.

Mercury have their PE on alternate Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Please check with Mrs Mason or Mrs Rackham if you have not received the date list for when PE is each week.

Please come into school wearing your PE kit.

PE may sometimes be outside, so please dress appropriately for the weather!
