This term children in Reception will be Scientists as we explore our new enquiry, 'How can we care for pets?' The children will be introduced learn about how we can look after animals and even have a chance to care for some class snails! We will learn about simple life cycles of animals and plants and the children will have chance to grow a plant themselves.

By the end of term the children will have been taught all Phase 1 and 2 sounds and will have chance to read and write using these sounds in phonics and with their home reading book.

In maths, the children will be learning how to double, halve and share using objects and will continue to develop their fluency with number bonds to 5 and 10 and some double facts (eg. 3+3=6).
