Year 1 had a real life children's author read his new story on their zoom session.  Nick Jones read the story 'One Night in Beartown'.  His story was inspired by the town he lives in called Congleton which has lots of statues of bears.  

The children had the chance to ask Nick questions about what is like to be an author.  They had lots to find out.  If they didn't get a chance to ask their question they can email it to their teacher who will pass it on.   Nick also has a creative corner on his website where the children can have their own stories published:
