  • Ramadan Assembly

    This morning we welcomed Rizwan Ahmed into school who spoke to us about the five pillars of Islam and why Muslims fast during Ramadan. He also brought a virtual reality headset and some of us experienced what it was like to visit Mecca on the Hajj pilgrimage....

    Check out this video made by one of our Year 2 children. In the video, made for the charity Frank Water, she talks about what she would miss if she had to spend 6 hours a day collecting water like some children around the world have to.

  • Getting an insight into working life

    Recently, one of our Y1 children took part in a 'Bring your child to work day' and spent a morning with his mum at HSBC. His time included a tour of the HSBC offices where he introduced himself to lots of different people and met the 'big' boss, attended a team meeting where he got to sit at the head of the table, used the printer and got a job with the post team date stamping some of the letters! Most importantly he made some lovely new friends and had lots of fun on the spinning chairs!

    What a chatty group of children today - we had great conversations about pizza toppings and job aspirations. I even found out that one child has written a song!
